Another great cause folks!! My dear friend Cathy has a call out for knitters for little knitwear for orphans in India! Please go to her blog for more info and help out! Also if you make buttons maybe a kind soul could make one for her cause to? So we can should it loud and proud on our sidebars!!

Dublin!!!!

.

LOOK a piccie!!! What do you all think? I am a huge fan of the Dublin Bay socks. So I decided to design my own for kids. These are the ones that I made for Rachelle (YES they are the UFO socks for her...so they are now a FO)...

I am debating what to do with the pattern. I have a test knitter working on it for me to see if there are any kinks..Am considering looking into other test knitters too for it.

I finished these for Rachelle last night. She has them on her feet now and I can see its gonna be hard to get them off!

I know the piccie isnt the best. It wasnt until they were finished that I thoguht "Ok so maybe Opal Prisma WASNT the best choice to show off the pattern!!" Will look into better piccies later.

And I WON I WON I WON!!!! I dontated some gorgeous wool/mohair to Karen's Diabetes cause. Andshe did a draw from the people that donated and I was one of the winners!!! YAY! I cant wait to see what my prize is!

Okies folks. Catch ya later. Happy knitting!!

Random Rambles

First off the bat...Looking for a good cause? How about knitting for less fortunate school children? Rachel over at Procrastiknitter is looking for lovely people who are willing to knit small projects for the children at her school. These things might be the ONLY things some of these kids get for Chrissie..And it will keep them warm this coming winter in the US. If you would like to help out go HERE!

My knitting? well I haven't finished anything on my LOOOONG list..But I am getting closer, really I am!!

Shoulder is all good now..Thanks all for the lovely comments!!

Secret Santa Knitting...Yes..Don't ask..Cant talk about it..lol. The walls have ears...or eyes (being as Ears won't help them unless someone is reading out my blog posts).

Piccies? Well I know I still owe you all piccies of the last Project Spectrum but when I tried to post a few to show you all I lost the whole post and had to start again..So as soon as blogger plays nice..I will post piccies.

I am still waiting on the dishcloths for the Dishcloth swap I am a part of. Not starting to worry JUST yet!! We were meant to have them in the mail by the 1oth of this month so nothing to worry about yet...I haven't heard if the ones I mailed have arrived to their new home yet either.

Okies folks! I am offski! Catch ya later! Happy knitting..

Knitter Down!!

But not out just yet!

Woke up this morning with a killer shoulder ache! this is going to hinder knitting a lot! And it has been actually. I have been working on socks out of "sock wool from hell" from Kerry...I am onto the foot of the second sock of a pair!! Shock horror!! I am a little worried that I am gonna run out of yarn. I am pushing the limit I can tell you! I have another 4 socks to knit after this one...And have to make all the stripes match..I dont think I am gonna make it! The yarn really IS from HELL!!!

Speaking of sockyarn! Remember I said I wouldnt buy anymore until I knitted up a few? Well the EVIL SOCKGODS are tempting me!!! One of the members of my knitting group has become an Opal Distributor!!! How will I be strong!!!! She sits near me!!! There is a few Opal balls of wool I really want!! I must be strong!!!

I still havent finished the sleeves of the two jumpers I am working in for Kerry..And with my shoulder how it is I dont know if I am going to get it finished before Tuesdays coven meeting!! I am gonna have to get one done just incase I have problems with the yoke (I know some of my fellow lovely ladies at the coven have done them before so they can help me I hope)!

Moto night tonight so hoping to get some mindless knitting done as long as the shoulder holds up.

Catch ya all later! Happy knitting

My UFO's

Yes I know I have alot of UFO's..And today I found another one while looking for something (added it to the bottom of the list below).

The two jumpers for Kerry are closer to getting finished. I have just the top of the raglan sleeves on one (then the yolk..first time yolk for me!!) and just the sleeves, sew up and collar of the second.

As for Bugsy's comment that I need to start more things for Harley (bite your tongue my dear!! lol) Harley got her socks before I started Rachelle's (so her's are done) and I am gonna start her jacket after I do Rachelle's jacket (I need to dye the yarn for her first).

Some of my UFO's go back about a year (I dont think I have any over 18mths old)...I know I should do the oldest first but I probably wont. I seem to get most of my UFO work finished over summer (dont ask me why) so hoping to cut the list down to well under 10 by the end of summer. Last year by the end of summer I was down to about 5 UFOs!! So we are looking at in 8mths its climbed by about 13 projects!!! YIKES.

Okies folks. Plans for today, finish the sleeves of jumper that needs yoke, start and finish the other baby jumpers sleeves. AND if lucky..maybe get a sock done? I think socks might be weekends work...And maybe finish up the two jumpers...

Take care all. Happy knitting! And next week I have plans on making a plea to you all for some children in America (so if you like the idea of giving some poor children a smile at Chrissie..Have your needles at ready).

Thank you everyone

I would love to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who left lovely comments about the death of Zander.

It will be a week tonight that I lost my beautiful ginger baby man. And I have missed him so much each of those day. This week has gone in such a haze. I keep expecting to see him, have him jump up on me in bed for a cuddle, have him sit with me while I knit, have him give me headbutts wanting me to rub his face.

There has been one day all week that I didnt cry, pretty sad really. Something that a pet owner wouldnt understand, but someone who sees their pet as their baby would.

I do still blame myself. And I probably always will. I cant help myself. I had Zander for 6 1/2years. He was almost as old as my eldest child. Most of Adam and my relationship has involved Zander.

Anyway thank you again each and everyone of you. Thank you especially to Bugsy who has been constantly checking up on me and being there for me in my time of need. You are an angel among angels hun.
